Terms and conditions
Last updated 21 October 2026
These are the terms for using My Gift Partner. We have written them to be easy to understand. If you have any questions, you are always welcome to write to us or give us a call.
1. Who we are
My Gift Partner is a service from Min Gavepartner ApS, Danish company registration number (CVR) 46712994, Østerbæksvej 21, 2. th., 5230 Odense M, Denmark. The company is registered in the Danish Central Business Register with the Danish Business Authority and is VAT registered under VAT number DK 46712994.
You can contact us at support@mingavepartner.com or by phone +45 25 71 71 98. The managing director, responsible for the service, is Mathias Krogsøe Eriksen.
The agreement has two parts: our gift service, which is free, and the gift purchases we make on your behalf. The two are kept entirely separate, including in your finances.
2. The gift service is free, and this is how we make money
My Gift Partner is your personal gift service, and it is free. We remember the occasions, choose the gifts from what you have told us about each person, buy them and arrange delivery. You only pay for the gifts themselves.
The shops pay us a commission when we buy a gift from them. You never pay more than the shop's own price. The commission is our income, and it is never added to the price of the gift.
We only buy from shops we have an agreement with. That means we choose the gift from their range, not from every shop online.
There is no membership, no subscription and no fee. If you signed up before the gift service became free, we will close your membership, and nothing will ever be charged for it.
3. How we buy gifts for you, the power of attorney
When we buy a gift, we act in your name and for your account as your authorised agent. This means you are the buyer at the web shop, and the gift amount is your own purchase, not goods we resell to you.
The gift amount is charged separately to your saved payment method and used 1:1 to pay for that specific gift. We never add a margin or surcharge to the gift amount, and we do not reclaim VAT on your gift purchases. If the shop gives a discount on the purchase, the whole discount goes to you. The web shop's receipt for the purchase is made available to you.
The commission the shop pays us is a matter between us and the shop. It is not part of your purchase, and it does not change what you pay.
We cover card fees on gift charges ourselves. They are never added to the gift amount.
4. Budget, your suggestions and when we buy
The budget you set for each person and occasion is a ceiling, not the amount charged. We charge the gift's actual price including delivery, never more than your budget.
Up to and including 22 days before the occasion, you can change or decline an upcoming gift. 21 days before, the gift locks and we choose it. Before the amount is charged, you get an email, and that is your notice.
If you have pre-approval, the email shows 3 suggestions. If you pick one, we buy it straight away. If you tell us why none of them is right, we choose a new gift and buy it without asking you again. If you skip the gift, we buy nothing. If you have not replied within 3 days, we buy our recommendation 18 days before the occasion. If, through a fault on our side, our suggestions do not reach you in time, we choose and buy the gift based on what you have told us, and say so in the email about the gift. That email is then your first message about the gift.
If you do not have pre-approval, we write to you 22 days before the occasion that we will choose and buy the gift the next day. 21 days before, we choose the gift and buy it the same day.
The amount is charged once the gift has been chosen, and we buy the gift the same day, as soon as the charge has gone through.
5. Saved payment method and charges
You can add your card when you sign up, or later in the app. When you do, your payment method is stored securely with our payment provider Stripe, and you give us a mandate to charge gift amounts within your budgets once a gift has been chosen, without you needing to be at the screen. Nothing is charged until a gift has been chosen. Your bank may show a card check of DKK 1 when the card is saved, but it is not charged.
Without a card, we cannot charge the gift amount, so we do not buy the gift. If we still do not have your card when the gift locks, we send you our 3 suggestions, even if you do not have pre-approval, so you can see the gifts before you add your card. If you have not added your card by the time the reply period ends, we do not buy the gift this year, and we let you know by email. Your gift plan carries on as before.
If your bank requires an extra approval for a charge, you get a message straight away with a link where you can approve it. We never store your card details ourselves.
If your bank declines a charge, you get an email and a text message. We try twice more, once a day. If it still does not go through, we cancel the gift and let you know by email. If it is caused by a fault on our side, we fix it and try again, without you needing to do anything.
6. The price you pay
You never pay more than the shop's own price, and never more than your budget.
If the price changes after we have checked it and before we buy the gift, we cover any increase ourselves, and any reduction comes back to you.
We never swap a gift you have approved because of its price. Only if it has sold out do we choose the next one, and then we let you know straight away.
7. Right of withdrawal
You have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the agreement for the gift service. The period runs from the day you sign up, which is the day the agreement is made.
The gift service is free, so if you withdraw, the agreement simply ends and there is nothing to refund. We start straight away, and if an occasion is close, we may buy the gift within the 14 days. We say so plainly, because it is the only way we can get there in time when you join shortly before the day.
A gift we have bought is your own purchase from the web shop. The web shop's right of withdrawal and returns policy therefore apply to the gift itself, and we will help you send it back. You get the amount back once the web shop has refunded it.
To withdraw, write to support@mingavepartner.com before the period ends. You may use the model withdrawal form in section 8, but you do not have to: an ordinary message is enough.
8. Model withdrawal form
You may use this form if you want to withdraw from the agreement, but you are not obliged to.

9. Exchange and return of gifts
Because you are the buyer at the web shop, any exchange or return of a gift is arranged directly between you or the recipient and the web shop, under the web shop's own terms. We will help you make it as simple as possible. Many of the web shops we use offer exchanges. With the rest, the gift can be returned instead, and you will get back what you paid. Personalised items usually cannot be exchanged or returned.
10. Stop whenever you like
There is no membership to cancel, and nothing renews. You can stop whenever you like: decline your upcoming gifts in your account, or write to support@mingavepartner.com and we will close your account.
Gifts we have already bought are delivered as promised. Gifts we have not yet charged for are cancelled, and nothing is charged for them.
11. Our responsibility
We choose every gift with care and stand behind our work. The product itself is the web shop's responsibility under sales law, and your statutory rights against the web shop apply in full, because you are the buyer.
If something goes wrong with a charge or a purchase, we put it right, so a charged amount always ends in a delivered gift, a new gift choice for the same amount, or a refund. An amount is never left charged with nothing in return.
12. Personal data
How we look after your and your recipients' information is described in our privacy policy, which you will find on the Privacy policy page.
13. Complaints and governing law
If you are unhappy, contact us first, and we will almost always find a solution. You can also complain to the Danish Centre for Complaint Resolution, Nævnenes Hus, Toldboden 2, 8800 Viborg, via naevneneshus.dk.
The agreement is governed by Danish law.
