How My Gift Partner works
My Gift Partner is your personal gift service, and it's free. You tell us once about the people you love, and from then on a thoughtful gift is always ready for every occasion, year after year. You only pay for the gift.
On this page you'll find the whole process step by step, and what we give back.
Step 1. You make your gift plan in one evening
You sit down one quiet evening and tell us about the people you give gifts to: their interests, personality, occasions and an amount for each occasion. That's your gift plan. Your personal thoughts are the raw material, and the more you share, the more personal the gift becomes.
You add your card, but nothing is charged until a gift has been chosen. You can always add more people, change an amount or adjust the details later.
One gift plan covers the whole household. Your partner can have their own login, and neither of you can see the gifts the other adds for you.
Step 2. We remember the day and choose the gift
We keep track of every occasion all year. 21 days before the day, our gift picker chooses a thoughtful gift for that exact person, based on your thoughts and within the amount you've set. We only choose from shops we have an agreement with, and every suggestion is checked for price and delivery.
You stay in control the whole way. You can change or cancel a gift as long as there are at least 22 days to go before the occasion.
Step 3. You choose, or we do
If you've switched on pre-approval, you get our three best suggestions, each with the reason behind it, and 3 days to choose. If none of them fit, tell us why and we'll choose a new one ourselves. If you don't reply, we buy our recommendation.
Without pre-approval, we choose ourselves and buy the gift straight away. That's when the real peace of mind sets in.
Step 4. We buy it, and the gift comes to you
The gift is bought at the shop's own price within your amount, often for less through our agreements. It arrives 20 to 5 days before the occasion, so you're never caught out at the last minute.
You get the joy and the credit for giving a gift with real thought behind it. We only take care of the admin and the tedious bits. The people close to you never see that we were involved: the gift is bought in your name and sent to you, so all they experience is that you thought of them.

Last day you can change the gift
Up to and including this day, you can change or cancel the gift. The day after, we get started.

We select the gift for you
Based on your own words about the person, and always within your budget. We take the price of the gift and buy it the same day, at the shop's own price.
- 20 to 5 days before
The gift reaches you
The gift comes to you, never to the recipient, and in good time, so you can give it with care.
- The day itself
You give the gift in person
Everything is done. The day before, you'll have received three suggestions for the first words on the card, because the hardest part is often getting started. The rest you write yourself. You give a gift built on your own thoughts.
Free for you
My Gift Partner costs you nothing. You only pay for the gift, at the shop's own price and often less through our agreements.
If we get a discount through one of our agreements, the full discount goes to you.
If the same item is cheaper somewhere else, we don't choose it.
We pass on 1% of our revenue
We pass on 1% of our revenue to people who would otherwise get no gifts. It is a fixed part of the business from day one, not a campaign.
The money goes to helping families with children who can't otherwise afford gifts, so the children also get a gift and a good Christmas. The amount is set aside throughout the year and passed on as a single donation once a year to a selected charitable cause.
We chose this cause because it mirrors our own purpose. We exist so that the people you love always get a thoughtful gift. At the same time we make sure that children who would otherwise get no gift also feel that joy.
